About This Route

The Fujinomiya Trail has the highest starting point at 2,400m — that's already higher than many mountain summits worldwide. It's the shortest route at 4.3km, but also the steepest. The limited time at altitude means less acclimatization, which increases altitude sickness risk for some climbers.

Honest Assessment

Fujinomiya is short but brutal. The trail goes straight up with minimal switchbacks. Because you start at 2,400m, your body has less time to adjust. If you're prone to altitude sickness, this isn't your route. But if you're fit and want the fastest summit, it's efficient.
