About This Route

Winter on Mount Fuji is a completely different mountain. The trails are closed to the public. Access requires permits through local authorities. You'll use crampons, ice axe, and rope on the summit ridge. Temperatures regularly hit -20°C with wind chill. This is alpine climbing, not hiking. We provide all technical gear and training.

Honest Assessment

Winter Fuji is not a hike. It's alpine climbing. If you haven't used crampons before, we'll teach you. But it's serious. The summit ridge can be icy and exposed. We turn back if conditions aren't safe — no exceptions. Best months are January through March.
