About This Route

The Yoshida Trail is the most popular route up Mount Fuji for a reason. It has the most mountain huts, the best facilities, and the gentlest gradient in the lower sections. 90% of all climbers choose this route. We start at 8-9pm to avoid the 7pm crowd rush. You'll have 8 huts along the way for rest, food, and emergency shelter.

Honest Assessment

It's crowded. There's no way around that. But the trail is well-maintained, the huts are plentiful, and the sunrise from the top is worth every step. We avoid weekends and start later to miss the worst of the traffic jams near the summit.
